Upcoming Events at Lit

Join us on Thursday, August 20 from 7-9pm for a special occasion – We’ll have cigar icon Nestor Miranda visiting the lounge!

Nestor has been in the premium cigar industry for over 25 years, and has some great stories to tell. Originally from Holguin, Cuba, Nestor spent his younger days in the liquor industry building the Chivas Regal brand to prominence before founding Miami Cigar & Co. in 1989.

We thought it would be appropriate to feature Chivas Regal during Nestor’s visit.

Meet Nestor and enjoy special event deals on the Nestor Miranda Collection and La Aurora cigars, along with drink specials on Chivas Regal. We hope to see you for this fantastic evening!

We’ve been running our Tuesday Cigar Wars promo for a few months now and the reaction has been overwhelming! Guests are loving the opportunity to smoke cigars without knowing the brand and challenge their preconceptions! In fact, the early front runner is a cigar that many of our guests have looked over for some time, the ROMEO by Romeo y Julieta.

Of course, there’s still plenty of time and several more cigars left to include in the competition! Join us for Cigar Wars every Tuesday – a blind tasting and cocktail for only $10. You can then rate that cigar and have a say as to which cigar will be named the Cigar Wars champion – the cigar that Lit customers have chosen as the best tasting cigar in the Lit humidor!

Terra Vista is continuing its Wine With A View series every Thursday in August from 4-6pm on the Terra Vista deck. This week enjoy wines from Michael David Winery along with appetizers with the best views in the area for only $20!

We announced earlier that Lit will be opening at 11am everyday to better accommodate our guests who visit earlier in the day. However, this change will not be implemented until September 1. Thank you for your patience!

New in Our Humidor

This is the time of year when all of the new releases unveiled at the IPCPR convention begin to arrive in our humidor. Here’s what’s new this week!

– Quesada Reserva Privada – This is a special release with only 60 cigars per month allocated to Lit. They’ve been selling incredibly fast! Featuring 18-year-old filler tobacco and a Connecticut Shade wrapper from Ecuador. It’s one of the most complex and well-built medium bodied cigars we carry and will be in high demand due to their rarity!

– El Centurion H2KCT – The Garcia family of My Father Cigars have released a line extension of the El Centurion brand using a special hybrid wrapper never before seen. Using Cuban Habano 2000 seeds,Jaime and Jose “Pepin” Garcia cultivated the sun grown wrapper leaf in the Connecticut River Valley, creating a flavor profile that medium bodied, but full in flavor with notes of pepper and cream that will appeal to lovers of both Connecticut and Sun Grown wrapped cigars.

– Undercrown CT Shade – Drew Estate’s new release was one of the biggest hits of the IPCPR. It’s an extension of the popular Undercrown line, which originally sported a San Andres Maduro wrapper. The new Undercrown CT Shade uses an Ecuadorian grown Connecticut Shade wrapper giving it a milder creamier flavor that is lush and rich enough to be smoked any time of day.

– Henry Clay – In anticipation of the upcoming release of Pete Johnson’s collaboration with Altadis USA on a new Henry Clay Tattoo cigar, we’ve brought in the original Henry Clay, a classic blend that has been on the market since the 1840’s. It features a delicious Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper that has a unique minerality and a medium to full-bodied profile with notes of hay and black pepper. We often get obsessed with what’s new, it’s good to revisit a cigar that has stood the test of time, and Henry Clay is one of them. It’s one of the classic blends that helped inspire the new wave of cigar makers to get into the industry and well worth checking out!

Happy Smoking!
