Smoked any good cigars lately?

My wife and I were up at the Snoqualmie Casino on Saturday night, I had a chance to sit down with my friend Josh (Lit Cigar Lounge/Manager), and chat a little bit about the big event that’s coming up this coming Saturday – the Washington Cigar & Spirits FestivalIf you’re a cigar smoker and haven’t heard about this event, all I can say is: “when did you wake up from your coma?”

Anyway, I grabbed a cigar from the humidor, Montecristo Epic, highly recommended by the staff, the wifey-poo went with her go-to cigar, Java by Drew Estate. It wasn’t exceptionally busy in the lounge, so the big comfy leather chairs were available by the wall, perfect spot to enjoy my fine cigar – I ordered a glass of Snoqualmie Reserve bourbon to pair it with. Nice…
I asked Josh if he was all set for the big event and what’s new this year?
He smiled and said that he was ready, just the standard last minute things to worry about. As far as what’s different this year? Well, there are more tickets available, so if you haven’t bought your ticket yet you’re still in luck, and judging by how many tickets are available, you should still be able to buy them at the door on Saturday night. So no stress…
Couple of changes with the layout – The ballroom foyer area, which is gigantic, will be set up to accommodate the added guest. I would imagine that it’ll be set up just like the New Year’s Eve party was – kind of nice if you want to get away from the crowd for a while…
Also, if you recall last year it was kinda goofy how they only had that one place in the middle to buy boxes of cigars, it made for some pretty long lines at times. Anyway, this year they’ll have multiple locations, so it should be a breeze when you’re ready to buy.
Josh told me that Oliva Cigars weren’t coming, but they have added J Fuego to the venue. (nice choice)
